Quick Review of the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco plus Tips and Tricks

This is a quick review because let’s be honest, there’s not much too it. Nonetheless, like any experience, you make what you want out of it.

I just want to say that I regret not being the one who came up with this concept. When you create something that plays to an Instagram obsessed world, it’s most definitely a cash cow and a viable business.

Reflections on our experiences together while hiking through Mt. Tamalpais

For this year's Get There | Get Lost Founders Meetup (I just came up with that, and I'm going to make it a thing!), we had planned a two-day excursion of some of Bianca's tried and tested places in Marin County, and one of them was Mt. Tamalpais.

I had some reflections on our travels together - how often we see each other, and how it's never enough.

Tried & Tested: Sure Wins When You Pass Through Carmel-by-the-Sea

There’s just something about towns with prepositions in it. ‘By-the-sea’, ‘upon-Avon’ - okay, those are the only two I can think of at this moment. But, because the town is relative to a place, it already gives you something to visualize.

I've been coming to Carmel for years, but always just passing through - either while staying at Monterey, or to drive people along the 17 mile drive in Pebble Beach. For a three-day getaway to the California coast, this time, we decided to stay in the quaint artistic town of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

The Gastronomic Stops in Napa Valley

Napa Valley not only has an expansive selection of top notch vintage, it also boasts a great number of restaurants and cafes to sate every palate: from international cuisines to the traditional Americana, or from quaint local treasures to Michelin-starred favorites.

Napa Valley Favorites: Restaurants

Lucky me, this now world-class destination is just in my backyard. We can easily go for coffee, or a Sunday brunch, or make a whole day out of it with a wine tasting tour. We're definitely all for trying something new, But there's definitely those places that we know when we crave for a specific thing, we know exactly where to go - the tried and tested, where we won't be leaving the satisfaction of our cravings to chance.

GTGL Snippets: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Universal Studios Hollywood

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood did not disappoint. It's comprised of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. There are two rides - the 3D Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride through Hogwarts, and the small roller coaster Flight of the Hippogriff. You also get in line to Ollivanders where there's a bit of a show for the wand to find the wizard before you shop for your wand. With your interactive wand, there are various spots throughout the park where you can use it.

Accessible Outdoors: Muir Woods National Monument

In 2012, a friend of mine told me I should hike the Cinque Terre for my sabbatical. He showed me two pictures and I was sold. I merely mentioned the Italian Riviera to my husband, and the answer was yes.
